My mother interned at @nasa during the 1980’s in the shuttle training department. Captain “Hoot” Gibson was an astronaut at the time. He commanded four of the five Space Shuttle missions on which he flew, including the first docking of a shuttle with the Russian space station. This captain is a former American naval officer and aviator, test pilot, aeronautical engineer, and professional pilot who currently races regularly at the annual Reno Air Races. He’s a hero to my mom and a hero to me. Unbelievable that my career enables to me to share these experiences with her. What a night for this 2nd generation aerospace fan @national_aviation_hall.
Five years, five countries, two dogs with this man. Happy 5 year anniversary Tay Babe. Thank you for your limitless patience and tolerance.
Happy #internationaldogday to these two personalities!
